The Circle is back!

Vintage is the new black. The 1950’s circle skirt or most popularly known as the Poodle skirt is back in the market. The sophisticated skirt gives the look of the 50’s and has been making a top trend for SS2011.

                      History of Poodle skirt:

The story of poodle skirts is interesting. It was invented in the year 1947 by Juli Lynne Charlot, who was an actress turned fashion designer by profession. "She cut a big circle of felt with a hole in the middle for her waist to fit and then appliquéd some interesting but whimsical Christmas trees on it. Charlot attended one of the Los Angeles holiday party wearing this skirt and grabbed everyone's attention.

Aladdin in Harem hihi

The Harem has hit the fashion trends once again but not for women. Instead, men are also encouraged to wear them too.

Origin of the Harem Pants:

Harem pants, which originated in India, are like a cross between a skirt and a pair of skinny jeans. The legs, from the knees down, are fitted. The crotch area is loose and baggy as if it were cut to be a skirt. Traditional harem pants can be extremely large and baggy, with a very wide and full fit, very roomy, loose fitting, oversized, puffy, spacious, with elastic in waist and at ankles, and with the crotch below the knee almost to the ground.
